ATTORNEY VS. SELF-REPRESENTATION

Posted By Campbell Whitten || 10-Apr-2013

could talk your ear off about how the legal system can be very complicated, and how you need an attorney to guide you through the process, but here’s all you really need to know: even experienced criminal defense attorneys hire attorneys to represent them when they are charged with a crime.

It’s almost always better to have an objective third party arguing on your behalf, than it is to argue on your own behalf. Furthermore, anything you say on your own behalf is a statement that can be used against you, but anything you tell your attorney is confidential and your attorney can make arguments on your behalf that are not considered statements which can be used against you.
